Blogs Worth Following: Crisis Communications, Media Training & Social Media

I’m always on the lookout for great blogs and content curators, both for my own education and enjoyment as well as for grade-A content to share with my audience. Since there are a few that I read regularly, I thought it was high time I share them with you!

The following are blogs by crisis managers, PR professionals and media trainers that I highly recommend:

Bernstein Crisis Management Blog and Crisis Management Blog
Both written by Jonathan and Erik Bernstein, these blogs do an exceptional job at teaching by example. They often use quotes and current case studies to help your company or organization prepare for a crisis.

CKSyme.org helping you be your own media… in real-time
Chris Syme does a wonderful job at blogging regularly about crisis communications in the digital age.

Crisis Blogger
What I like most about Gerald Baron’s blog posts is how he’s current and real. He often shares his own thoughts and expert opinions on current subjects in the field of crisis and reputation management.

Mr. Media Training
This is my favourite media training blog! Brad Phillips shares so many valuable lessons with us on a daily basis.

Karen’s PR and Social Media Blog
Karen Freberg writes regularly about, you guessed it, PR and social media! She always has valuable lessons and great insight to share.

The Four Stages of Highly Effective Crisis Management Blog
Jane Jordan-Meier writes a little less frequently than the above bloggers, but each post is filled with valuable lessons and insight on crisis management, especially in today’s age of social media and online visibility.

LawFirmsPR Blog
Rich Klein also writes a little less frequently, but when he publishes, his posts are worth the read!

The Crisis Show Blog
The Crisis Show blog archives each episode of The Crisis Show. Within these posts, Rich Klein, Jonathan Bernstein and myself share additional links and resources that we talk about within the given episode.

So there you have it! My top 9 blogs on crisis management, media training and social media that I highly recommend you check out.

What about you? What are your top blogs that you look forward to reading on a daily or weekly basis? I’m always up for new great discoveries, so be sure to share some links with me in the comments section below!
